How do i free up some RAM space on my computer?
Right now i know i need a better graphics card and more RAM space to be able to play this game. IM going to buy me a new card soon but i was wondering, how do you access the place were your RAM is soo i can get rid of things i dont need. I currently have a hp pavilion mx70. And my computer says i have 223.5 MB of RAM left. I would like to know where i can find the RAM. thanks

Ram is a physical chip in your computer, I suggest having atleast 512 for guildwars and windows to play niceley with each other. Contact your manufacturer to find out what kind of ram your computer supports

It's a dual question...
You can free up some of your normal RAM by closing some unnecessary background programs. See if you have QuickTime or RealPlayer installed on your computer - they probably are running a background program (press Ctrl Alt Del and see if the program realplay.exe or qtask.exe appear) that you can cancel easily. Also see if you have SoundMAX running, which you can close. Short of that, you're probably looking at either disabling your antivirus programs, windows update programs, etc. to freeing up RAM. Regarding your graphics card's RAM, you can go to guildwars and select in options the graphics to be lowest quality but highest speed. You can also disable sound, which will speed up the game (if you don't mind not being able to hear Kuunavang's screech. |
